Infinium broke ground in May 2025 on Project Roadrunner approximately five miles from Pecos in Reeves County, the world's largest eFuels production facility backed by more than $275 million from Brookfield Asset Management and Breakthrough Energy Catalyst, with American Airlines and IAG offtake agreements secured and commercial operations targeting 2027, while the Pecos EDC has indicated the project is expected to serve as the first of up to three additional phases, confirming an expanding multi-year industrial construction footprint in the immediate area. The facility repurposes an existing brownfield gas-to-liquids site and adds a 100-megawatt electrolyzer system generating green hydrogen on site, making it one of the most technically complex and water-intensive industrial construction programs currently underway in the Trans-Pecos region, where Pecos sits at the I-20 and US-285 junction with direct access to Delaware Basin production, the Waha Hub midstream network, and established oilfield service infrastructure. Electrolyzer installation, hydrogen and synthesis unit construction, civil grading, and hydrostatic testing all require bulk water from the earliest site preparation phases well before any permanent utility connections reach the facility. Water Runner provides TCEQ-licensed bulk water delivery with the Reeves County operational reach to serve Project Roadrunner construction and all associated Pecos-area industrial development from first mobilization through commissioning.
